Having taken legal advice and been given the ok from the council and the police, with just over a week and a half to go we had a call from Christchurch police who gave us a number of alterations in the way we had to run the festival…the main issues being under age drinking and noise levels. Had we had an extra few weeks to plan solutions to the problems there wouldn’t have been an issue; however, we have run out of time and the risks are too great at this stage to continue with the festival. Everyone who has helped with organising the festival are gutted about the news, and we all send our apologies to those who were looking forward to the event. The good news is that we are planning to hold the festival next year, to work around the concerns with the police and run an even bigger and better festival in 12 months time. So until then we hope you have a great rest of your summer,
